Delphinium-silk flower/simulation flower-ss112

Delphinium, the Latin name: Consolida ajacis (L.) Schur, is a perennial herb of the Dicotyledon, Ranunculus, Ranunculaceae, and Delphinium genus. Because of its unique flower shape, it resembles a swallow, hence its name. The flower diameter is about 4 cm, elegant in shape and attractive; 35 to 65 cm high, the stem is sparsely branched, and the leaves are palmately split. The raceme has 3-15 flowers, petal-like, blue or purple-blue, 1.5-1.8 cm long. Delphinium is a taproot plant with few fibrous roots. It is suitable for direct seeding and transplantation with soil mass.

Cultivation Techniques

Reproduction method

Delphinium can be propagated by seed or cutting.

Seed propagation

The suitable temperature for germination is about 15℃, and the soil temperature is best below 20℃, and it will germinate in about two weeks. The autumn sowing is from late August to early September, first sown into the open seedbed, and enter the cold bed or cold room to overwinter before the winter, and the spring is warm for planting. In early spring in the south, it is broadcasted in the open field, and the thinning keeps 25~35 cm spacing. In the north, seedlings are generally raised in advance and planted in mid-April, transplanted when 2 to 4 true leaves are used, and colonized when 4 to 7 true leaves are used. Pay attention to drainage in rainy days. The fruit ripening period is inconsistent, and it will naturally crack after ripening, so it should be harvested in time. Generally, the ripe seeds are harvested 1 to 2 times in June, and all the best ones are harvested and sun-dried and threshed in July. Cutting propagation is carried out in spring. When new leaves grow more than 15 cm, cuttings are cut and inserted into sandy soil.

Ram propagation

It can be carried out in spring and autumn, generally ramming once every 2 to 3 years.

Cultivation method

In hot summer areas, sowing in late August. When the seeds germinate and grow 2 to 4 true leaves in mid and late October, they are transferred to the sun-border cultivation. In March of the next year, when the seedlings grow 4 to 7 true leaves, they can be planted at 5 ~ July blooms. If it is cultivated in a greenhouse in a hot area, the growth period can be shortened and the flowering period can be 2 to 3 months earlier.

The specific method is: sowing in late August, transplanting once in mid-to-late September, planting in mid-October after planting with insulation, heating and supplementing light from December to February of the following year, so that the flowering period can be opened early to March to May.

Apply nitrogen fertilizer before flowering, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer after flowering, and water properly. Increase lighting after October can promote early flowering. When the plant grows to a height of 20 cm
